The Specialized Aethos embodies the spirit of road riding––feather-light, prophetic handling, and style.

At 585 grams, the Aethos frame is the lightest production disc frame ever. Compared to the Specialized Tarmac road bike, the Aethos is ~200 grams lighter. Not a single gram was overlooked in the engineering of the Aethos, but achieving the lightest frame didn't result from simply shaving grams and thinning the carbon frame. The Aethos achieves its feather-light weight as a result of thousands of models ending up with the Continuous Curvature Design Strategy, which concludes that shape equates to true performance, not necessarily just thinner material and lighter components. The Aethos features subtle, elongated conical sections that bear the weight, therefore allowing the removal of stiffness layers.

Whether you're road biking around the state or making a summer habit of pedaling the 20-mile round trip route up to the scenic Maroon Bells and back, connecting high-altitude roads or linking the best coffee shops, the heart of the Aethos is the ride and the rider. The Aethos handles like a dream––perfectly balanced, comfortable, and stiff.

The FACT 10r Carbon frame with a threaded bottom bracket and a round seat post gives the Aethos an eye-catching chassis. The Aethos features a FACT Carbon 100mm fork, further enhancing the comfort and stability of the riding experience. SRAM and Shimano groupset options are available.

The Aethos reimagines what is possible with a high-performance, lightweight road bike.
